Junior Year figure drawings and a tattoo design for my best friend

This is the tattoo design I started for Cristina.

Every year in VA, Ms. Marsh teaches a self portraiture course. This was my second one and by far my most rendered for such a large composition. I was able to blend all the midtones and lighting by mixing black and white charcoal to create a grey tonal scale.

I'm pretty sure this was my last figure drawing for my junior year. Mr. Edwards taught that semester I believe.

My first set of pieces to post!

<-- This is the last piece for the walnut series which is still in progress. My teacher encouraged me to continue rendering what should look like a surface under the walnut in the top right. She also wants me to add more texture to the walnut itself by adding more lines and not worrying too much about blending.

This is the first piece I did for the series which was done with an ebony pencil and then rendered over with an ink pen.

<--This is the second piece I did which incorporated pen and charcoal.

This was done on the second week of figure drawing this term with Ms.Osediacz.
